Frank Lawrence has 16 years of direct experience in managing one of the top money transfer companies world-wide, Coinstar Money Transfers. Frank joined the GroupEx Financial Corporation (later acquired by Coinstar Money Transfer) in 1995 to lead and accelerate the Company’s transition into the electronic remittance industry.
Frank is responsible for interacting with Federal and State Regulators as well as law enforcement agencies to prevent money laundering or terrorist activities. He developed, designed, negotiated contracts and implemented critical operational procedures for new product introductions including international wire transfers and international money orders, which accounts for more than 90% of total GroupEx Financial transaction volume. He is also responsible for Credit and Collections Department, Call Center operations, Customer Service, and FX trading and settlement operations. He has been the lead on all major accounts and vendors such as: E&Y, KPMG, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Cigna and ADP.
In addition, Frank is an active member of the Board of Directors and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist – CAMS. He has also held the top management position in Business Development and Human Resources prior to his current role.
His greatest successes have come in creating new growth enterprises or new products such as electronic funds transfers and money order plus and later integrating them into a larger corporate structure. He has played a strategic part of growing each of the business lines into millions of transactions per year and with results of more than quadrupling the sales revenue. In addition, Frank was the one of the primary negotiators for culminating the sale of the previously privately owned enterprise to Coinstar in 2008, during which he lead due diligence team and legal teams.
Frank earned a bachelors degree with high distinction from the University of Alabama Birmingham and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University where he graduated in the top 20.
