Eduardo Castaneda has been a banker for most of his professional life and has worked in the money remittance business since 1996; was the founder and Director of Bancomercio Inc, a US Money Transmitter which operated in 9 States. Bancomercio was acquired by Scotiabank (The Bank of Nova Scotia, Canada) in 2005 and sold in 2009. Actually, Eduardo is Director of a new unit in Scotiabank, Scotia Transfer Services, organized to manage the payment of remittances in the network of Scotia banks located in Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds both BS and MBA degrees from The University of Houston, TX, and an Advance Management Program Degree from Cornell University, NY.
