Payment Systems Seminar
The Person-to-Person Payment Systems Seminars will analize how different payment methods from the more traditional Cash to Cash, Cash to Account, Account to Account, Account to Cash to the newer methods using credit, debit and prepaid cards, account debits, ATM services, mobile wallets are being used today as well as analyzing the payment channels in place while the transition to digital systems accelerates . Understanding the role of Payment Processors in the transaction chain, such as Financial Services Providers (Banks & Non-Banks - Card companies call them Acquirers), Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), Third Party Processors (TPPs), Internet Payment Service Providers (IPS), Card Organizations, is paramount for the future of the money transfer industry. You will learn what ACH is, the role of SWIFT, and how new companies such as PayPal are coming into the market.
We will be updating the program frequently as we confirm speakers and detailed subjects. We will also discuss the US Remittance Rule effective Feb 7th, 2013 and the solutions that many companies offer in order to comply.
