Alberto Guerra is currently Executive Vice President for Banorte USA, and he is the Head of the Family Remittances Business Unit of Banorte and UniTeller.
Alberto, holds a BS degree in Economics from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, a Master Degree in Economics from the University of Florida, and a Master Degree in Finance also from the Monterrey Institute of Technology. He also holds a Graduate Degree in Banking by the American Banking Association and Louisiana State University.
He has been working for Grupo Financiero Banorte, for more than 18 years, where he has held different positions in International Banking, Corporate Banking and Structured Corporate Financing. He was part of the team that developed and implemented the Banorte USA strategy that resulted in the acquisition of Inter National Bank, a National Chartered Bank in the State of Texas, as well as of UniTeller, the Family Remittance Company of Banorte, to which Alberto is its CEO.
Banorte is one of the largest banking institutions in Mexico in terms of assets, loans and deposits as well as one of the country's most profitable banks over the past decade. It has the largest presence in Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SMEs) banking, financing and capital access for home developers, third party correspondent banking and distressed asset management.
