ATTENDEES:
What is the profile of the institutions attending the Conference?
The institutions attending the conference have some distinctive profiles:
1- The larger group is the Licensed Money Transfer Companies of the US and Canada (some european institutions also)and financial institutions, like Banks such as Wells Fargo, Regional Banks, Credit Unions, as well as Financial Services Companies like Check Cashers, Pre-Paid Cards, ATM Processors and Foreign Exchange Companies that are active in a remittance corridor or in an ethnic community. Most of them are established, some of them want to explore new markets, products, partnerships, etc.
2 - The second group is the Foreign Payers of the MT institutions outlined above. Of course there is a larger presence of Banks, Microfinance, Credit and other Financial Services Companies in this group than the first one, since Banks have been increasing their share of the MT market abroad.
3 - The third group is the Service Providers of the MT industry: Auditors, Software providers, Compliance-related service providers, Attorneys, Consultants, Merger and Acquisition Experts, Investors, as well as Bill Payment,Micro-Lenders,Top-Up and other communication-type service providers, marketing firms, etc.
3 - The fourth group is the alternative payment systems firms which are using technology based products to enter the Money Transfer space, well-established firms in the digital world like Pay-Pal, Facebook, Google, as well as Mobile Payment Service Providers, from large communication companies to ewallet newcomers. In this group we can also name the Card-Base Money Transfer Companies, increasingly linked to Mobile Payments.
4 - The last group will be the Government, Multilateral, Academic and NGO Institutions that have a vested interest and role in the MT industry. Most of them are invited as participants, speakers or panelists.

REGISTRATION:
Do I have to Register Online?
Yes, you can only register online. But it is very easy. If you are unsure we will make a phone appointment and we will walk you through it. Contact us.
What are the Registration Types?
Registration Types are just a way to classify the participants depending on what they want to register for and determine their corresponding fee. If you are a Pre-Conference Seminar participant you choose this type and proceed. If you also want to participate on the Conference you choose Conference & Pre-Conference Participant. Some of the choices are available as you go through the registration process.
I don't know if my institution classifies as Government/Academic/NGO?
If you work for a government sponsored institution, an academic institution (as a teacher or student), a non-profit association or other types of NGO, you probably classify. If you work for a company but you are a student at a University you classify only if you are paying for the conference yourself, for example. Cooperatives, Microfinance Institutions, althought non-for-profit do not qualify. But you can always ask. Contact us.

SPONSOR AND SPEAKERS:
Do I need to register if I am a Speaker or a Sponsor?
You you have to. We need everybody to register and be accounted for. We also need updated information of every participant.

PAYMENTS:
What type of payments choices I have?

One of the group is going to the Pre-Conference Seminar, the other to the Conference and Pre-Conference Seminar. Do I have to make one Registration for each?
No. You can do just one. Start with the first and then add the second & third as you proceed, chosing the choices accordingly. Then you can pay at the end for all.
