Money Transfer... Making a Difference. That is MTMD... a joint effort by a number of organizations that work on the MT Industry to bring social responsibility into the forefront. MTMD goes beyond - and adheres to - Corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and the Triple Bottom Line (TBL or 3BL), also known as "people, planet, profit" or "the three pillars" that the United Nations have been promoting since 2007.
MTMD is identifying social development programs in the main international money transfer destinations where a little funding can make a large difference to the success and continuity of the program and the life-changing characteristics of its approach. MTMD is identifying companies and institutions within the MT Industry that want to give us a hand in providing funding for these programs - or other programs of their choice - while we help these institution's public image with their employees, clients, correspondent institutions. MTMD is identifying individuals in these companies & institutions to act as MTMD Ambassadors, to spread our message, promote donations, do simple fundraisers, connect to the people in the different programs and provide the human link... the closeness.
With the help of The Spark Group, we are planning to use all the Social Media Tools at our disposal to make a large community of people that feel. like we do, that Money Transfer is more than moving money form one side of the world, to the other side. It is much more than that.
MTMD is not a charity. We are partnering with charities too. MTMD is a link between the MT world, the charities and the programs that we select. We are partnering with Rose, one of the most wonderful organizations with Charity Status in a number of countries - US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zeland, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc. and several partnerships in other countries. Rose is a gem that we have found.
