ATTENDEES:
What is the profile of the Conference attendees?
The individuals attending the IMTC Conferences are conected to the International Money Transfer Industry in a number of ways. We narrow down International Money Transfers at IMTC to any type of Person-to-Person (P2P) cross-border payments. This whole industry started and grew from the still called Remittance Industry (Worker or Migrant Remittances), a service provided first by ethnic insitutions on both sides (sending & receiving), later on by Money Transfer Operators (or Money Transmitters - MTOs) and now provided by all types of institutions, from the traditional agent-based MTOs to Banks, Retailers, Internet Companies, Mobile Operators, Pre-Paid Cards - either by themselves but mostly trough all types of partnerships. All these International Money Transfers institutions are now collectively called "Remittance Service Providers or RSPs. There are a large number of IMTC attendees that are service providers for the industry, mainly providers of services to the same clientelle (cellular top-ups, bill payment, check cashers for example) or to the institutions: reviewers, compliance auditors, training providers, software providers, technology consultants, legal counsel, investors, marketing consultants, etc. Academics & Regulators involved in Moeny Transfers are invited so they can learn and share their ideas too.

♦ What is the profile of the institutions attending the Conference?
There are four distinctive profiles:
1- The larger group is the Licensed Money Transfer Companies of the Sending Countries: US, Canada, Europe - UK, Spain, Italy - Middle East (UAR, Saudi Arabia), etc. (such as Western Union, MoneyGram, Ria Envia, Dolex, Sigue, Coinstar, SmallWorld, and many others) and financial institutions, like Banks such as Wells Fargo, Regional Banks, Credit Unions, new technology-driven money transfer providers (internet, mobile, cards, credits - as well as Non-Bank Financial Services Companies like Check Cashers, Pre-Paid Cards, ATM Processors and Foreign Exchange Companies that are active in a remittance corridor or in an ethnic community. Most of them are established, some of them want to explore new markets, products, partnerships, etc.
2 - The second group is the Foreign Payers in the Receiving Countries. There is a large presence of Banks, Microfinance, Credit and other Financial Services Companies in this group than the first one, since Banks have been increasing their share of the MT market in the receiving countries, more than in the sending countries.
3 - The third group is the Service Providers of the MT industry: Auditors, Software providers, Compliance-related service providers, Training organizations, Attorneys, Consultants, Marketing Consultants, Merger and Acquisition Experts, Investors, Top-Up and other communication-type service providers, marketing firms, etc.
4 - The last group is the Government, Multilateral, Academic and NGO Institutions that have a vested interest and an important role in the MT industry. Most of them in this group are invited as participants, speakers or panelists.

REGISTRATION:
Do I have to Register Online?
Yes, you can only register online. But it is very easy. If you are unsure we will make a phone appointment and we will walk you through it. Contact us.
What are the Registration Types?
Registration Types are just a way to classify the participants depending on what they want to register for and to determine their corresponding fee. If you want to participate only in a Pre-Conference Seminar or Workshop you choose this registration type and proceed with your registration [this will register you ONLY to the Pre-Conference and you won't be alloed to participate in the conference].
Normally participants choose to Register for the Conference and also choose to participate in a Pre-Conference Seminar (there might be different choices, some might have a small estra cost). If you want to participate on the Conference you will have the option to include or not the Pre-Conference Seminars, as you go through the conference registration process.
Are there discounts available?
We have agreements with Associations to encourage their members to participate in our Conference, Seminars & Trade Shows. One example is the NMTA - National Money Transmitter Association of the US, ABRACAM and ABM TRansf in Brazil. We provide their up-to-date members with a discount code to apply ant check-out and get the discount. We encourage other associations to contact us in order to offer discounts to their members.
I don't know if my institution classifies as Government/Academic/NGO?
If you work for a government sponsored institution, an academic institution (as a teacher or student), a non-profit association or other types of NGO, you probably classify. If you work for a company but you are a student at a University you classify only if you are paying for the conference yourself, for example. Cooperatives, Microfinance Institutions, althought non-for-profit do not qualify. But you can always ask. Contact us.
I want to bring my spouse. What do I need to do?
A number of our attendees bring their spouses! Please Contact us and we will provide a conference badge at a cost of $ 295.00 that will allow your spouse to attend the welcome cocktail, the lunches and visit the trade fair. You can purchase event tickets for him/her to the Nightime Events, which are also open to friends, family, clients. Remeber: your spouse won't be allowed into the conference rooms. Contact us.

HOTEL:
Do I have to Reserve my room Online?
You should reserve your room online as soon as possible, when this option is available. We can always give you a contact at the hotel if you want to reserve by phone/email. We reserve a large group of rooms at the Conference Hotel at better rates than what the Hotel offers to the public. Since we always run out of space, you should reserve early! Remember that the hotel requires a credit card to hold the room but you can change the card when you arrive at the hotel and register. If you are unsure we will make a phone appointment and we will walk you through the online reservation process. Contact us.

SPONSOR AND SPEAKERS:
Do I need to register if I am a Speaker or a Sponsor?
You you have to. We need everybody to register and be accounted for. We need updated information of every participant for insurance and other related issues.
I am a sponsor and I want to invite some clients that are not conference attendees. What should I do?
You can invite visitors only on the last day of the conference with a Visitor's Pass that you can request from us. We need everybody registered and be accounted for. We also need updated information of every visitor. Remember that any visitor not registered will be removed from the conference by hotel security.

PAYMENTS:
What type of payments choices I have?
You can pay online with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express Card. This is the preferred methood of payment.
You can also pay offline with a Check or a Wire Transfer. Make sure you proceed to make your Check or a Wire Transfer payment as soon as you finish your registration. You could loose your early bird discounts if your payment is not received on time. If we can't check if your payment has been received before you arrive for registration we will request a credit card as a back-up but we won't charge the card.

GROUP:
Can I Register several people from my company?
Yes you can and you should in order to ensure group discounts. Just enter the name, last name, email and choose Registration Type of the first person and register him/her. You can add more people in the group later on and pay for all at the end.
One of the group is going to a pre-conference Seminar, the other to the Conference . Do I have to make one Registration for each?
No. You can do just one. Start with the Conference Attendee always and then add the rest as you proceed, chosing the choices accordingly. Then you can pay at the end for all.

NIGHTIME NETWORKING EVENTS:
Can I register for these events at a later date?
Yes you can. You can buy tickets for these events at a later date. You just go to "My Information" [or just click on Already Registered? and you can enter the Registration Number and modify your registration as many times as you want. But remember that for some of those events, space is limited and we might run out of tickets as the Conference approaches.
Can I cancel the tickets for a Nightime Networking Event?
Yes you can. But you will not get a refund. The venues we use for these events have no-refund policies in place as they price the events according to the number of people participating. Sorry.

REFUND POLICY:
I need to cancel the registration, Am I going to get a Refund?
You may. The Refund Policy for each event is listed in the Fees Page. Please click on the link and you will see it. The refund amount will change as the date of the conference approaches. The reason is that as the event grows near we commit with the hotel for number of meals, etc.
